David Abis, MD

Dr. Abis is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology with subspecialty board certification in cytopathology. Dr. Abis' areas of special interest include women's health, urologic pathology and gastrointestinal pathology.

After receiving a BS degree from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, Dr. Abis earned an MD degree in 1985 from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, New York, NY. Dr. Abis completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of California at San Francisco.

Dr. Abis currently serves as President of Palm Beach Pathology, PA and as staff pathologist at St. Mary's Medical Center and Good Samaritan Medical Center, West Palm Beach, FL. At St. Mary's Medical Center, Dr. Abis serves as Director of Pathology, as well as member of several committees, including Medical Staff Executive Committee, Surgical Quality Assurance Committee, and Trauma Quality Management Committee.

Thomas A. Bolton, MD

Dr. Bolton is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. He is also licensed by the National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Bolton's areas of special interest include immunopathology, urologic pathology, and molecular pathology. He also has additional experience in dermatopathology as it relates to hematologic neoplasms, infectious processes, and immunofluorenscence.

After earning a BS in biology and a BA in chemistry from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL, Dr. Bolton earned an MD degree in 1980 from the University of South Florida College of Medicine, Tampa, FL, where he also completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology. Following his residency, Dr. Bolton served as clinical associate in General Pathology and Hematology, and later as Assistant Professor of Pathology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Bolton was also Chief of Microbiology and staff pathologist at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, FL.

Dr. Bolton is active in several professional organizations, including Palm Beach County Medical Society, American Society of Microbiology, American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP); and also serves as inspector for the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

Dr. Bolton currently serves as the Medical Director of Palm Beach Pathology, and as staff pathologist at several South Florida hospitals, including Good Samaritan Medical Center, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, Jupiter Memorial Hospital, Martin Memorial Hospital, and St. Mary's Medical Center, where he is also Chairman of the Infectious Disease Committee and member of the OB/GYN Committee.

James B. Cash, MD

Dr. Cash's areas of interest include surgical pathology, women's health, GI pathology and urologic pathology. Dr. Cash, a co-founder and current President of Eastern Carolina Pathology, PA.

After earning a B.A. degree, cum laude, from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, Dr. Cash earned an MD degree in 1977 from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Lexington, Kentucky, where he also completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology. Following his residency, Dr. Cash completed a fellowship in surgical pathology at Barnes Hospital, Washington University Medical Center, St. Louis, MO. He then returned to the University of Kentucky Medical School as Chief Resident and Instructor in Pathology, and later as Assistant Professor of Pathology.

Dr. Cash is active in a number of professional organizations, including College of American Pathologists (CAP), American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), North Carolina Pathology Society, and the Wilson County Medical Society.

Dr. Cash currently also serves as Laboratory Medical Director of the Heritage Hospital, Tarboro, NC.

Shalini Chahal, MD

Dr. Chahal received her medical degree from Lady Hardinge Medical College, University of Delhi, New Delhi, India. She then completed an internship at Kalawati Saran Childrenís Hospital and Smt. Sucheta Kripalani Hospital in New Delhi, India. Dr. Chahal completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Denver, CO. She has also completed a fellowship in surgical pathology at The Methodist Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Medical Center, Houston, TX.

Dr. Chahal also served as Assistant Professor, Department of Pathology, Denver Health Medical Center, Denver, CO. After earning a BS degree, magna cum laude, in chemistry from the University of Toledo, Dr. Hull received his MD degree in 2001 from Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, IN. He completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Saint Louis, MO, where he also served as Co-Chief Resident in anatomic pathology. Following residency, Dr. Hull completed a fellowship in cytopathology and a second fellowship in surgical pathology at Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

Prior to joining UniPath, Dr. Hull served as Assistant Professor, Department of Pathology and Immunology at Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Hospital. After earning a BS in biophysics from SUNY at Buffalo, NY, Dr. Kotnis received his MD degree in 2006 from SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY. He subsequently completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Colorado Hospital, Denver, CO.

Following residency, Dr. Kotnis completed a fellowship in cytopathology at The Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH. Most recently, he served as Associate Pathologist at the Riverside Health System, Newport News, VA.

Dr. Kotnis is a member of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP), American Society of Cytopathology, Papanicolaou Society of Cytopathology, and the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).

Lezlee Pasche, MD

Dr. Pasche earned her medical degree from University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2007. She completed a residency in clinical and anatomic pathology at Stanford University in Stanford, CA where she also served as Chief Resident. She went on to complete two fellowships at MD Anderson Cancer Center Houston, TX in cytopathology and surgical pathology.

He then completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach, FL where he also served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Phillips then went on to complete a fellowship in pathology at University of Florida College of Medicine, Gainesville, FL; and a subspecialty fellowship in breast pathology under Dr. David Page at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN.

Dr. Small is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, and the subspecialty of medical microbiology. Dr. Small has extensive diagnostic experience in cytopathology and womenís health testing.

After graduating with a BA degree, summa cum laude, in chemistry from Colorado College, Dr. Small attended the Duke University Medical Centerís Medical Scientist Training Program, graduating with an MD and PhD in medical mycology in 1983. He completed his pathology residency at the University of Utah School of Medicine, Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Small has served as Medical Director for two Colorado hospitals and as Vice Chairman, Department of Pathology for Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center, Denver, CO.

Dr. Small is active in several professional organizations including being a past President of the Colorado Society of Clinical Pathologists, and member of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the Gynecologic Oncology Group, as well as various advisory committees. Dr. Small has also served as a Study Pathologist for several Gynecologic Oncology Group clinical trials.

Dr. Small is staff pathologist at Littleton, Parker, and Porter Adventist Hospitals in Denver, CO. At Porter Adventist Hospital, he also serves as Director of Pathology.
